Biography
Edward Christopher Sheeran, born on February 17, 1991, in Halifax, West Yorkshire, is an English singer-songwriter who has achieved global acclaim for his blend of pop, folk, and acoustic music. Raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, he began playing the guitar and writing songs at a young age. Inspired by a meeting with Damien Rice at age 11, Sheeran pursued music with dedication, moving to London in 2008 to perform at various venues.
Career Beginnings and Breakthrough
Sheeran's early career was marked by the independent release of several EPs. His 2011 independent EP, 'No. 5 Collaborations Project', garnered mainstream attention and led to a record deal with Asylum Records. Personal Life
In 2019, Ed Sheeran married his childhood friend, Cherry Seaborn. The couple has two daughters, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, born in August 2020, and Jupiter Seaborn Sheeran, born in May 2022. Sheeran was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to music and charity.
