About these rules

These rules apply to everyone who visits SongSense.io. The site is run by Pavel Volkov (volkv.com). There are no user accounts: you can read, vote, rate analyses and comment without registering. By using the site you accept these rules and the privacy policy.

What the analyses are

  • Analyses are written by an AI model — exactly how is described on the About page. They are interpretations and can contain errors.
  • No person proofreads each analysis before publication; the automatic check only confirms that an analysis is complete, not that its facts are correct.
  • Analyses are for information and entertainment and are not statements by the artists.
  • Lyrics belong to their rights holders. We do not publish full lyrics; analyses quote a line or two at most.

Using the content

  • You may read, share links and quote short fragments with a link to the analysis page.
  • Do not copy analyses in bulk or publish them as your own.
  • Do not download the site in bulk with automated tools; search engine crawlers that respect robots.txt are the exception.
  • Do not try to break into the site, bypass its limits or flood it with requests.

Comments and moderation

Comments are published immediately, without prior review. The site owner is notified of every new comment and reviews it after publication. The following are removed:

  • spam and advertising;
  • insults, harassment and hate speech;
  • other people's personal data;
  • full song lyrics and other material that infringes copyright;
  • illegal content;
  • repetitive posts unrelated to the song.

Technical limits: name of 2–50 characters, comment of 10–1000 characters, a simple captcha, and at most 5 comments per 5 minutes and 10 per hour from one IP address.

To report a comment, email with a link to the page and the author's name or the comment text.

Votes and ratings

  • For a song without an analysis, one vote per IP address is counted, with at most 30 votes per hour from one address.
  • An analysis can be rated (like / dislike) once a day per IP address.
  • Inflating votes or ratings with bots or mass requests is prohibited; such votes may be voided.

Violations

Since there are no accounts, the measures are: removing the comment, voiding inflated votes, and blocking the IP addresses or clients that the abuse comes from.

Premium analysis

  • Payment goes through Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
  • The code is shown on the payment confirmation page and emailed to the address you entered at checkout.
  • A code includes the number of analyses you paid for. Starting an analysis uses one; if the analysis fails, it is returned to the code automatically. Codes do not expire.

Liability

The site is provided "as is". We do not guarantee the accuracy of analyses or uninterrupted service, and we are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of the analyses.

Changes to these rules

These rules may change; a new version applies from publication, and the update date is shown at the top of the page.
