Biography
Dominic Richard Harrison (born August 5, 1997), known professionally as YUNGBLUD, is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. He was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. His father was a vintage guitar dealer and his grandfather played with the band T. Rex. At a young age, Harrison was diagnosed with ADHD, which he says made him a troublesome student. He studied at the Arts Educational Schools in London before beginning his music career.
Career Beginnings
Before his music career took off, Harrison was an actor, appearing in the British musical drama "The Lodge". In 2017, he released his debut single "King Charles". This was followed by "I Love You, Will You Marry Me" and "Tin Pan Boy". In January 2018, he released his debut self-titled EP, which included his first three singles. Several of his songs were featured on the soundtrack for the Netflix series "13 Reasons Why," which helped him gain more exposure.

21st Century Liability (2018)
YUNGBLUD's debut album, "21st Century Liability," was released on July 6, 2018. The album features a mix of punk-fueled tracks and more toned-down moments, with lyrics that tackle political and social issues. Songs like "Medication" address mental health, while the title track is an anthem for misunderstood youth.
Weird! (2020)
His second studio album, "Weird!", was released in 2020 and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album features tracks such as "Strawberry Lipstick" and "Mars," and is described as a "coming-of-age" album. It was certified Gold in the UK.
YUNGBLUD (2022)
His third, self-titled album was released on September 2, 2022, and also reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album features singles like "The Funeral," with a music video starring Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and "Memories," featuring Willow. The song "Tissues" notably samples "Close to Me" by The Cure.
Idols (2025)
YUNGBLUD's fourth studio album, "Idols," was announced for a 2025 release. Described as his most ambitious project, it is a rock opera double album that reflects on his personal journey of self-discovery and the complexities of idolization. The lead single, "Hello Heaven, Hello," was released in March 2025.
