Biography
Sonny Fodera is a British-based Australian house music DJ and producer. Born in Adelaide, Australia, on November 10, 1985, he began his musical journey in his mid-teens creating hip-hop beats. His focus shifted to house music after being inspired by a Derrick Carter performance at a local nightclub. By the age of 23, Fodera was already touring the US and UK.
Early Career and Rise to Prominence
Fodera's career gained significant momentum when DJ Gene Farris enlisted him to remix "Dance Warriors" for Green Velvet's esteemed Cajual Records. This collaboration led to Cajual releasing his first two albums, "Moving Forward" (2013) and "After Parties & Aeroplanes" (2014). In 2013, he was recognized by Mixmag as one of their "Hot Six". His 2016 album, "Frequently Flying," released on Defected Records, incorporated more vocals and pop-oriented sounds. The same year, he launched his own record label, Solotoko.
