Biography
Joshua Omar Medina Cortés, known professionally as Omar Courtz, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter born in Carolina, Puerto Rico on October 11, 1997. He developed an interest in music and sports from a young age and even earned a scholarship for mechanical engineering through his passion for athletics. Before his music career took off, he worked in a clothing store frequented by urban music stars like Farruko and Ozuna, who would later become his inspirations.
Career Beginnings
Courtz began his musical journey by publishing his first song, "Volvemos Otra Vez," on SoundCloud in 2017, which gained him local recognition. While pursuing his degree, he continued to release music. His viral single "En Su Nota," released in 2020, significantly boosted his popularity. This success led to a record deal with Pitbull's label, Mr. 305 Records. In 2024, he also signed with Rimas Entertainment.
