Biography

Noah Lindsey Cyrus was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 8, 2000, to country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and producer and director Tish Cyrus. She is the youngest sibling to a number of brothers and sisters who have also pursued careers in entertainment, most notably Miley Cyrus.

Acting Career

Cyrus began her acting career at the age of two, with a role as Gracie Hebert in her father's television series, Doc. She later had minor roles in the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, in which her older sister Miley starred, and was a background dancer in Hannah Montana: The Movie. In 2008, she voiced the titular character in the English-dubbed version of the animated film Ponyo and sang the English version of the film's theme song with Frankie Jonas. Cyrus also appeared in the straight-to-DVD movie Mostly Ghostly: Who Let the Ghosts Out? (2008). More recently, she guest-starred in an episode of the horror anthology series American Horror Stories in 2021.

Music Career

2016–2018: Musical Beginnings and Good Cry

In 2016, Cyrus launched her music career, signing a record deal with Barry Weiss's label, Records. Her debut single, "Make Me (Cry)" featuring Labrinth, was released that same year and reached number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100. Throughout 2017, she released several other singles, including "Stay Together," "I'm Stuck," and "Again" featuring XXXTentacion. She also opened for Katy Perry on the Witness: The Tour. In 2017, Time magazine named her one of the 30 Most Influential Teens. Her first EP, Good Cry, was released in 2018 and featured collaborations with artists like Gallant and LP.

2019–2021: The End of Everything and Grammy Nomination

Cyrus released the single "July" in 2019, which became the lead single for her second EP, The End of Everything, released in 2020. The EP earned her a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. This period also saw her collaborating with PJ Harding on tracks like "Dear August" and "You Belong to Somebody Else".

2022–Present: The Hardest Part

In 2022, Cyrus released her debut full-length album, The Hardest Part. The album was preceded by singles such as "I Burned LA Down" and "Mr. Percocet". She has since released more collaborative singles, including "Everybody Needs Somebody" with Vance Joy and "How Far Will We Take It?" with Orville Peck.

Personal Life

Cyrus has been open about her struggles with mental health, including depression and anxiety. Her music often reflects these personal challenges. In June 2023, she announced her engagement to fashion designer Pinkus.
