Biography
Guy James Robin (born 2 August 1989), known professionally as Jonas Blue, is an English DJ, record producer, and songwriter from London. He is known for his dance-pop and tropical house music. Growing up, his musical influences were rooted in soul, funk, and R&B, which his father often played. He began his musical journey at age 8, learning to play the flute and developing a strong foundation in music theory. By 11, he started DJing and began producing his own music at 12.
Career Breakthrough
Jonas Blue burst onto the music scene in 2015 with his tropical house cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car," featuring vocals from Dakota. This debut single became a global sensation, peaking at number two on the UK Singles Chart, which was higher than the original's peak position. The track also reached number one in several countries, including Germany, Sweden, and Australia.
Notable Singles and Collaborations
Following his initial success, Jonas Blue released a string of hit singles. In 2016, "Perfect Strangers," featuring JP Cooper, also reached number two on the UK Singles Chart. Other successful tracks include "Mama" with William Singe, "Rise" featuring Jack & Jack, and "Polaroid" with Liam Payne and Lennon Stella. He has also collaborated with a variety of other artists such as Becky Hill, MK, Rita Ora, Joe Jonas, and Nina Nesbitt.

Jonas Blue has continued to release music and collaborate with various artists. In the early 2020s, he released tracks such as "Something Stupid" with Awa and "Hear Me Say" with Léon. He also collaborated with R3hab, Ava Max, and Kylie Cantrall on the song "Sad Boy." In 2019, he launched his own record label, Electronic Nature.
