Biography

Fuerza Regida is an American regional Mexican band formed in San Bernardino, California, in 2015. The group initially started as a cover band, playing at local parties and uploading videos to YouTube. The current members are Jesús Ortíz Paz (lead vocals), Samuel Jáimez (backing vocals and 12-string guitar), Khrystian Ramos (rhythm guitar), José "Pelón" García (sousaphone), and Moisés López (tololoche).

Musical Style and Rise to Fame

Fuerza Regida is known for their unique blend of traditional regional Mexican sounds with modern, urban influences. They are considered pioneers of the corridos tumbados genre, which mixes traditional corridos with hip-hop and trap elements. Their lyrics often touch on themes of street life, hard work, and the Mexican-American experience. The band gained significant attention in 2018 with their viral hit "Radicamos en South Central," which led to a record deal with Lumbre Music and Rancho Humilde.

Their debut studio album, "Del Barrio Hasta Aquí," released in 2019, was a major success, reaching the top of the Regional Mexican Albums chart. This was followed by a series of successful albums, including "Pa Que Hablen" and "Sigan Hablando," which both charted in the top 10 of Billboard's Top Latin Albums simultaneously.
