ENHYPEN
Biography
ENHYPEN is a South Korean boy band formed by Belift Lab, a joint venture between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation. The group was formed through the 2020 survival competition show "I-Land". The name ENHYPEN is inspired by the hyphen (-) symbol, signifying how the seven members connect, discover each other, and grow together to create new meaning.
Formation and Debut
ENHYPEN was formed through the Mnet reality competition show "I-LAND," which aired from June to September 2020. Out of 23 trainees, the final seven members were selected through a combination of global viewer votes and producer choices. The group officially debuted on November 30, 2020, with their first mini-album, "Border: Day One," and its lead single, "Given-Taken". The debut was a commercial success, with the album becoming the highest-selling album by a K-pop group that debuted in 2020.

Heeseung
Lee Hee-seung (이희승) was born on October 15, 2001.
Jay
Jay Park (제이 박), with the Korean name Park Jong-seong (박종성), was born on April 20, 2002.
Jake
Jake Sim (제이크 심), with the Korean name Sim Jae-yun (심재윤), was born on November 15, 2002.
Sunghoon
Park Sung-hoon (박성훈) was born on December 8, 2002. He is a former competitive ice skater.
Sunoo
Kim Seon-woo (김선우) was born on June 24, 2003.
Jungwon
Yang Jung-won (양정원), born on February 9, 2004, is the leader of the group.
Ni-ki
Nishimura Riki (西村 力), born on December 9, 2005, is the youngest member and is from Japan.
Career and Achievements
Since their debut, ENHYPEN has released several albums, including the "Border" and "Dimension" series. They made their Japanese debut on July 6, 2021, with the single "Border: Hakanai". The group is known for their highly synchronized performances and has been recognized with titles like "4th Generation Hot Icons" and "Global K-pop Rising Stars". They have achieved significant milestones, such as becoming a "double million-seller" and charting high on the Billboard 200. ENHYPEN is also the fastest K-pop boy group to reach 3 billion streams on Spotify. Their official fandom name is ENGENE.
