Biography

David Gerardo Rivera Juarbe, known professionally as Dei V, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter born on December 26, 1995, in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He is considered one of the fastest-growing new artists in the Latin trap scene. Dei V's musical style is primarily Latin trap and reggaeton, characterized by a relaxed style, slow tempo, and synthesizers. His lyrics often touch on themes of greed, street life, luxury, money, and women.

Career Beginnings

Dei V began his musical career in 2020 under the guidance of the Moneywayy record label, led by artists Yeruza and Yovngchimi. His first single was a cover of Myke Towers' song "Llegara". In 2021, he released his debut EP titled "Ying Yang". Although he later removed the songs from Spotify, the project consisted of 11 singles with music videos that remained on YouTube.

Rise to Fame

The year 2023 marked a significant turning point in Dei V's career with the release of his single "¿Quién es Dei V?". This track became an international breakthrough for the artist. The music video for the song garnered over 25 million views on YouTube within a year. His 2022 single, "Quieren ser yo," was one of his first songs to achieve viral reach.

Notable Collaborations and Releases

Dei V has collaborated with numerous prominent artists in the Latin music industry. In 2023, he was featured on "Pacto (Remix)" with Jay Wheeler, Anuel AA, Bryant Myers, and Hades66, and "Gatita Gangster" from Karol G's album "Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season)". He also worked with Myke Towers on "Trending Remix" and Bryant Myers on "Narcotics".

In 2024, Dei V released his second EP, "Los Marcianos Vol.1: Dei V Version," in collaboration with producers Chris Jedi and Gaby Music. This was followed by his debut studio album, "¿Quién es Dei V?". He also received a significant co-sign from Bad Bunny, who featured him on the track "Veldá" alongside Omar Courtz.

Dei V's first release in 2025 was the solo single "Sirena". He has continued to be active, embarking on a US tour and releasing new music.
