He was raised in the suburbs of Chicago and later moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue his music career. Kushner taught himself to play the guitar and began writing songs with a friend after graduating from high school.

Kushner's career gained significant momentum through the social media platform TikTok. His song "Miserable Man," released in January 2022, went viral on the platform, leading to international chart success. The single peaked at number 11 in Norway and number 19 in Ireland, and also entered the top 40 in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. This track, along with "Mr. Forgettable," was featured on his debut extended play, Footprints I Found (2022). Within a year of releasing music, Kushner had amassed 556 million streams.

His single "Daylight," released on April 14, 2023, also achieved massive popularity on TikTok and became a major international hit.
