In the early 90s, he released a hip-hop collaboration and a minor club hit "Up & Away" with Robert Owens.
Rise to Global Stardom
Guetta's breakthrough came in the early 2000s after co-founding Gum Productions. His debut album, "Just a Little More Love" (2002), sold over 300,000 copies and featured the hit single of the same name with American singer Chris Willis. This was followed by the albums "Guetta Blaster" (2004) and "Pop Life" (2007), which helped solidify his reputation in Europe. The single "Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)" became a top 10 hit in the UK in 2006.
International Breakthrough with 'One Love'
His fourth album, "One Love" (2009), marked his arrival on the global stage. The album featured collaborations with major international artists and produced a string of hit singles. "When Love Takes Over" featuring Kelly Rowland topped the charts worldwide and won a Grammy Award. Other major hits from the album included "Sexy Bitch" featuring Akon, and "Memories" with Kid Cudi, propelling the album to sell over three million copies.
