Blake Shelton
Biography
Blake Tollison Shelton (born June 18, 1976) is an American country music singer and television personality. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma, to Dorothy Ann, a beauty salon owner, and Richard Lee Shelton, a car salesman. Shelton began singing in his childhood and learned to play guitar from his uncle at age 12. At 17, after graduating from high school, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a singing career.
Music Career
In Nashville, Shelton landed a recording contract with Giant Records in 1997. In 2001, he released his debut single "Austin," which spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. After Giant Records closed, he was transferred to its parent company, Warner Bros. Records. His self-titled debut album was released in 2001 and also featured the top 20 hits "All Over Me" and "Ol' Red". Shelton's subsequent albums include "The Dreamer" (2003), "Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill" (2004), and "Pure BS" (2007). Over his career, he has released numerous successful albums and has charted 41 singles, including 30 number-one hits. Shelton has received nine Grammy Award nominations.

Television Career
In 2011, Shelton became a coach on the NBC reality television series "The Voice," a role he held until 2023. He was a coach for 23 seasons, and a member of his team won nine times. His presence on the show significantly raised his mainstream profile. Shelton has also served as an executive producer on several television projects. He has appeared in films such as "Pitch Perfect 2" (2015) and voiced characters in "The Angry Birds Movie" (2016) and "UglyDolls" (2019).
Personal Life
Shelton married his long-time girlfriend Kaynette Gern in 2003; they divorced in 2006. In 2011, he married fellow country singer Miranda Lambert. The couple divorced in 2015. In 2015, Shelton began dating Gwen Stefani, who was also a coach on "The Voice." They married on July 3, 2021. Shelton is a stepfather to Stefani's three sons from her previous marriage.
