Biography
Andrea De Filippi, known professionally as Alfa, is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper born in Genoa on August 22, 2000. He grew up in the Quarto dei Mille district and began playing the guitar and piano at the age of eight. Initially aspiring to be a doctor, he later shifted his focus to music. After attending a liceo classico, he briefly enrolled at Bocconi University to study economics and management for arts, culture, and communication before dedicating himself entirely to his musical career.
Career
Alfa's career began to gain traction in 2019 when he joined the Wanderlust Society record label. His musical style is a blend of pop, rap, and indie. In 2020, he wrote and performed "Sul più bello," the theme song for the film of the same name. This was followed by his first studio album. His 2023 single "Bellissimissima" was a major success, reaching number four on the Italian Singles Chart. In 2024, he competed in the prestigious Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Vai!", finishing in tenth place. The song also achieved top-ten status on the Italian singles chart. Following his Sanremo participation, he released his third studio album, "Non so chi ha creato il mondo ma so che era innamorato," on February 16, 2024.
