Biography
Aimer is a Japanese pop singer and lyricist known for her distinctive husky voice. Her father was a bassist in a band, which surrounded her with music from a young age. In elementary school, she began studying the piano and later started playing the guitar in junior high, inspired by artists like Avril Lavigne. At 15, she temporarily lost her voice due to vocal cord overuse and had to undergo silence therapy. This experience ultimately contributed to her unique and emotive vocal quality after her recovery.
Career Beginnings and Rise to Fame
Aimer's professional music career began in 2011 when she teamed up with the production group Agehasprings. She made her major debut with the single "Rokutousei no Yoru," which was featured as the ending theme for the anime series "No. 6". Her debut album, "Sleepless Nights," was released in October 2012. Aimer's fame grew significantly through her contributions to the soundtracks of popular anime series, including "Bleach," "Gundam Unicorn," "Fate/stay night," and "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba".

Personal Life
On January 1, 2023, Aimer announced her marriage to the musician and composer Masahiro Tobinai. Tobinai has been a long-time collaborator, composing and arranging many of her songs since her debut, including the hit "Zankyosanka".
