Biography
Addison Rae Easterling was born on October 6, 2000, in Lafayette, Louisiana. She began dancing competitively at the age of six. Before her rise to fame, she briefly studied sports broadcasting at Louisiana State University. In July 2019, Rae joined TikTok, uploading dance videos that quickly gained her a massive following. By November 2019, she had surpassed one million followers, left university, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a social media career.
Career
In Los Angeles, Rae was a foundational member of the TikTok collaborative group The Hype House in December 2019. In 2020, she signed with the talent agency WME and became the highest-earning TikTok star, according to Forbes, with earnings of $5 million from endorsements and merchandise. She launched a weekly podcast with her mother, initially called "Mama Knows Best," and later rebranded as "That Was Fun?".
Music
Rae released her debut single, "Obsessed," in March 2021. After some of her unreleased songs gained popularity online, she released them on her debut EP, "AR," in August 2023. In 2024, she signed with Columbia Records and released the single "Diet Pepsi," which became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Her debut studio album, "Addison," was released in June 2025.
Acting
Addison Rae made her acting debut in the 2021 Netflix film "He's All That," a gender-swapped remake of "She's All That." While the film was widely streamed, it received negative reviews from critics. She later starred in the 2023 horror film "Thanksgiving" and is set to appear in the 2025 film "Animal Friends" alongside Ryan Reynolds and Aubrey Plaza.
Business Ventures
In 2021, Rae launched her own cosmetics line, Item Beauty, in partnership with Madeby Collective, where she serves as Chief Innovation Officer. She also founded her own fragrance line called Addison Rae Fragrance.
