Biography
Adam Port, born Adam Polaszek on August 25, 1979, is a German DJ and producer from Berlin. His musical journey began in the hardcore punk scene before he delved into hip-hop, which led him to discover turntablism and DJing. This exploration eventually guided him to the realms of techno and house music. Port's style is often described as a blend of house music with elements of African music, creating a unique Afro house sound. His tracks also incorporate influences from jazz, soul, and funk, contributing to a deep house feel.
Keinemusik
In 2009, Adam Port co-founded the influential Berlin-based collective and independent label, Keinemusik. He established the group with his friends and fellow artists Rampa, &ME, Reznik, and the artist Monja Gentschow. The collective is known for its distinctive sound and collaborative approach to music production and performances. Keinemusik has released several significant projects, including the studio albums "You Are Safe" (2017) and "Send Return" (2022).
Musical Career
Throughout his career, Adam Port has released a multitude of EPs and singles on various labels, including Keinemusik, Freerange, Pets Recordings, Cocoon, and Moon Harbour. Some of his notable solo and collaborative tracks include "Ganesha Song," "I Love You," and "Discoteca" with &ME, Rampa, and Sofie Royer. In 2024, he achieved massive success with the single "Move," a collaboration with Stryv, Keinemusik, Orso, and Malachiii, which gained immense popularity on platforms like TikTok and Spotify. A later version of the track featured pop artist Camila Cabello. Port is also known for his remixes, including his take on Dua Lipa's "Houdini."
Performances
As a DJ, Adam Port has a significant global presence, performing at major festivals such as Coachella, Burning Man, Tomorrowland, and Time Warp. He has also held residencies at various clubs in his hometown of Berlin and is a regular at iconic party destinations like Circoloco in Ibiza. His DJ sets are known for being eclectic and keeping the energy high, not just for the audience but for himself as well. He frequently performs both as a solo artist and as part of the Keinemusik collective around the world.
