Biography

Abor & Tynna are an Austrian music duo composed of siblings Attila Bornemisza (born August 27, 1998) and Tünde Bornemisza (born December 22, 2000). Of Hungarian and Romanian descent, they specialize in a blend of pop, hip-hop, and electronic music. The duo represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with their song "Baller," finishing in 15th place.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

The siblings grew up in a musical family in Vienna; their father, Csaba Bornemisza, has been a cellist with the Vienna Philharmonic since 1993. Both received classical music training from a young age, with Attila learning the cello and Tünde playing the flute, for which she won state and national prizes. In 2016, they recorded their first song together and uploaded it to SoundCloud. The track gained attention after their mother shared it on Facebook, leading to an invitation from a producer to a recording studio. This marked the beginning of their professional music career, with Tünde adopting the stage name Tynna as the singer-songwriter and Attila becoming the music producer under the name Abor.

Career

Around 2020, Abor & Tynna were invited to participate in Austria's internal selection for the Eurovision Song Contest but declined due to a lack of live performance experience at the time. In April 2024, they served as the opening act for German artist Nina Chuba. At the suggestion of their record label, Jive Germany, they applied for the German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, "Chefsache ESC – Wer singt für Deutschland?". They won the competition with their song "Baller." Their debut album, "Bittersüß," was released on February 14, 2025.
