Biography
Stryv, whose real name is Hamid Bashir, is a producer, DJ, and songwriter based in Los Angeles, originally from Pakistan by way of New York. He specializes in pop, afrobeats, and urban dance music. As a producer, he has an extensive list of credits, having worked with prominent artists such as Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, Camila Cabello, and Michael Bublé. His work also includes tracks for Jason Derulo, CKay, Ava Max, Rita Ora, Mabel, Galantis, and many others.

Stryv gained significant recognition for his work on the song "VULTURES" by Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign and "Spicy Margarita" by Jason Derulo and Michael Bublé. He also produced the breakout single "American Horror Show" for Snow Wife. After establishing himself as a successful producer, Stryv launched his solo artist project. His debut as an artist was marked by the release of the track "Move," a collaboration with Adam Port of Keinemusik and featuring the singer Malachiii. The song became a massive summer hit, gaining over a billion views on social media platforms and topping the Billboard Afrobeats charts for three consecutive weeks. The success of "Move" led to a remix featuring global superstar Camila Cabello.

Early Career and Discovery
Stryv's journey in the music industry began years before his major commercial success. He was discovered in 2015 by Nicholas Parasram, who was licensing music from independent artists for the app Kanvas. Parasram partnered with Stryv to help launch his career. Some of his earlier known tracks include "First Light," "Moving On," and "Breathe," all released around 2015.
