Mark Ambor

Mark Gregory Damboragian, known professionally as Mark Ambor, is an American singer-songwriter born on December 4, 1997, in Pleasantville, New York. For much of his early life, he kept his musical talents a secret, even from his own family. His mother encouraged him to take piano lessons at age seven, which he quit at 14, only to return to the instrument on his own terms, learning to play songs by ear that he heard on the radio. This reignited his passion for music and set the foundation for his future songwriting.

Career Beginnings

Ambor's journey into songwriting began the summer before he started college. He wrote his first song and, after some hesitation, shared a voice memo of it with his parents, who were impressed and initially didn't realize it was him singing. He released his debut single, "Fever," in April 2019, followed by the EP "Colorful" in September of the same year. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he began posting cover songs and original music snippets on TikTok, which helped him gain a significant online following. He released the EP "Hello World" in September 2022.

Rise to Prominence

Ambor's breakthrough came with his 2024 single "Belong Together," which went viral on TikTok even before its official release and achieved international chart success. The song charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number one in the Netherlands. This success led to the release of his debut studio album, "Rockwood," on August 16, 2024. The album's title is a reference to a park in his hometown. In May 2025, he signed a record deal with Capitol Records.
