Malachiii

Malachiii, born Malachi Cohen in Los Angeles' Northridge neighborhood, is a singer, songwriter, and producer known for his blend of pop, R&B, hip-hop, and dance music. Raised in a creative household with an actor father and a mother who was a Broadway dancer, he was exposed to the arts from a young age. He began playing piano as a child and soon developed a passion for dance. Inspired by Michael Jackson, dance became his first love.

Career Beginnings

Malachiii's professional career began at the age of 14 when he toured as a dancer with the Grammy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman. This experience of performing in stadiums worldwide inspired him to pursue his own music career. He began writing his own songs around the same age and started producing a few years later. In 2020, he added two "i"s to his name to symbolize a "hyper-conscious, third-eyed perspective". He then secured a publishing deal with Electric Feel.

Rise to Prominence

After self-releasing his first singles in 2020, Malachiii signed with Motown Records in February 2021. His debut EP with the label, "The Ascension," was released in May 2022 and showcased his diverse musical style. The EP featured tracks like the bold "Hold Me" and the ballad "Back When We Were Young". In 2023, he contributed the song "Make It Out Alive" to the soundtrack of the animated short film "The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story".

Malachiii's music is characterized by its uplifting feel, elastic flows, and buoyant rhythms. He often combines upbeat tracks with thoughtful reflections on life. Recent Success

A significant breakthrough came with his collaboration with dance music producers Adam Port and Orso on the track "Move," which became a club hit. Following this success, he signed with Electric Feel Records and released the single "Back 2 Me" in late 2024. He continues to release music that blends different genres and aims to have a lasting impact on art and culture.
