Biography
Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He first gained fame as a child on the television show "Star Search" and later as a cast member on "The All-New Mickey Mouse Club" from 1993 to 1995, alongside future stars Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and JC Chasez.
*NSYNC
In 1995, Timberlake became one of the two lead vocalists for the boy band *NSYNC. The group became a pop sensation in Europe and later in the United States, with their self-titled debut album released in the U.S. in 1998. Their second album, "No Strings Attached" (2000), sold over 14 million copies and became one of the fastest-selling albums in history. After their third album, "Celebrity" (2001), and a successful tour, the group went on hiatus in 2002.
Solo Music Career
Timberlake launched his solo career in 2002 with the album "Justified." The album was a critical and commercial success, earning him his first two Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album. His second album, "FutureSex/LoveSounds" (2006), debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and featured the hit single "SexyBack." This was followed by "The 20/20 Experience" (2013), which became the best-selling album of the year, and its companion album "The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2." His later albums include "Man of the Woods" (2018) and "Everything I Thought It Was" (2024). Throughout his career, Timberlake has won ten Grammy Awards.
Acting Career
Alongside his music career, Timberlake has built a successful acting career. He has starred in numerous films, including "The Social Network" (2010), "Bad Teacher" (2011), "Friends with Benefits" (2011), and "In Time" (2011). He has also lent his voice to the animated "Trolls" film franchise as the character Branch. His work on "Saturday Night Live" has earned him four Emmy Awards.
Personal Life
Timberlake married actress Jessica Biel in 2012. They have two sons, Silas Randall and Phineas.
