Biography

Gonzalo Julián Conde, known professionally as Bizarrap, is an Argentine record producer and DJ born on August 29, 1998, in Ramos Mejía, Argentina. He specializes in genres like EDM, Latin trap, and Latin hip hop. From a young age, Bizarrap was interested in electronic music and DJs such as Skrillex, David Guetta, and Martin Garrix. At the age of 14, he began studying music theory, taking piano lessons, and producing his own songs.

Career Beginnings

Bizarrap's career took off in 2017 with his "Combos Locos" series on YouTube, which featured compilations of local freestyle rap battles. This led to him remixing songs for Argentine artists like Duki, Lit Killah, and Paulo Londra. His remix of Duki's "No Vendo Trap" became his first hit. In 2018, he launched the "BZRP Freestyle Sessions," inviting Argentine freestylers to rap over his beats. The first session featured Kodigo and was released on November 17, 2018.

BZRP Music Sessions and Rise to Fame

In February 2019, Bizarrap inaugurated his "BZRP Music Sessions" with the artist Bhavi. This series, where he collaborates with various artists in his home studio, propelled him to international fame. The sessions are characterized by a simple setup, with the guest artist in front of the microphone and Bizarrap in the background. His session with Nathy Peluso (Session #36) in 2020 was a significant commercial success, charting globally. By December 2020, he was the most-streamed Argentine artist on Spotify worldwide.

Notable Collaborations

Bizarrap has collaborated with a wide range of prominent Latin artists. His session with Spanish rapper Quevedo, "BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 52," became a massive global hit in 2022. In 2023, his collaboration with Shakira, "BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53," broke four Guinness World Records, including the most-streamed Latin track on Spotify in 24 hours and the fastest Latin track to reach 100 million views on YouTube. Other notable collaborations include sessions with Nicky Jam, Residente, Anuel AA, Peso Pluma, and Young Miko.

Bizarrap's work has earned him numerous accolades.
