Biography

Zara Maria Larsson is a Swedish singer and songwriter born on December 16, 1997, in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden. She demonstrated a passion for music from a young age and first gained national fame in 2008 at the age of 10 by winning the second season of "Talang," the Swedish version of the "Got Talent" television show. For her final performance, she sang Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," which was later released as her debut single.

Career Beginnings

In 2012, Larsson signed with TEN Music Group and in January 2013, she released her debut extended play, "Introducing". The EP's lead single, "Uncover," became a major success, topping the charts in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. The song was certified platinum in Sweden and helped her gain significant recognition in Scandinavia. Following this success, she signed a three-year contract with Epic Records in the United States in April 2013. Her debut studio album, titled "1", was released in 2014 and topped the Swedish album chart.

International Breakthrough

Larsson's international breakthrough came with her second studio album, "So Good," released in March 2017. The album featured several hit singles that propelled her to global stardom. The 2015 single "Lush Life" became a massive hit, reaching the top five in 18 countries. Another major success was "Never Forget You" (2015), a collaboration with British singer MNEK.
