Biography

W&W is a Dutch DJ and record producer duo consisting of Willem van Hanegem and Wardt van der Harst. They met in 2007 and began their careers producing trance music. Over time, their style has evolved to incorporate elements of big room house, electro, and progressive house, creating a unique and energetic sound.

Career Highlights

Initially known for their trance productions, W&W gained significant recognition with early tracks like 'Mustang'. In 2011, they released their debut album, "Impact". The following year, they founded their own record label, Mainstage Music, which later rebranded to Rave Culture in 2018. The label focuses on a wide range of electronic music genres.

A major commercial breakthrough came in 2014 with the release of their track "Bigfoot". They have consistently ranked in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll for many years.

Musical Style and Evolution

W&W's sound is characterized by its high-energy and a fusion of different electronic dance music genres. They are known for combining the melodic elements of trance with the intensity of electro and progressive house. In 2017, they launched a side project called NWYR (pronounced "new year") to return to their trance roots.
