Biography

Trevor Daniel Neill, born on September 28, 1994, is an American singer and songwriter from Houston, Texas. He began his musical journey by making music in his bedroom, learning production from online tutorials. After a sports injury halted his football pursuits, he turned his focus to music, a passion that grew from playing drums in second grade.

Career Beginnings

Daniel started uploading his music to SoundCloud, gaining initial traction with early tracks. A significant moment in his early career was when the popular YouTube channel SyrebralVibes featured his song "Pretend," which helped it take off. This led to him being noticed by Taz Taylor of the producer collective Internet Money, which resulted in a record deal with Alamo Records, Interscope Records, and Internet Money Records in July 2018.

Breakthrough with "Falling"

In October 2018, Daniel released his debut EP, "Homesick," which included the single "Falling". A year after its release, the song went viral on the social media platform TikTok. This viral success propelled "Falling" onto the charts in over twenty countries and it peaked at number 17 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The track has since accumulated over 1.4 billion streams on Spotify and is certified 4x platinum.

Studio Albums and EPs

Following the success of "Falling," Daniel released his debut studio album, "Nicotine," in March 2020. The album featured the single "Past Life," which was later re-released with a feature from Selena Gomez. Prior to his debut album, he released the EP "Restless" in 2019. In 2021, he released another EP titled "That Was Then".

Collaborations and Recent Work

Throughout his career, Trevor Daniel has collaborated with a variety of artists. Notable collaborations include "Past Life" with Selena Gomez, a remix of "Falling" with Summer Walker, and features with artists such as Blackbear, Ty Dolla $ign, Bebe Rexha, and Alan Walker. In 2023, he collaborated with Neoni on the song "Bleach" and with DVBBS and Bonnie X Clyde on "No Love". In July 2024, Daniel announced his departure from Alamo Records/RCA and later signed a new deal with Fearless Records, releasing his single "Tempo" in October 2024.
