Biography
Fadil El Ghoul, professionally known as R3HAB, is a Dutch-Moroccan DJ and record producer born on April 2, 1986. He is recognized as one of the most prominent artists in the Dutch house music scene. His musical style is diverse, encompassing genres like electro house, big room, future bass, and dance-pop.
Career Beginnings
R3HAB's career began in 2007, and he gained early recognition with his track "Mrkrstft," which was remixed by Hardwell. A significant moment in his early career was signing with Afrojack's label, Wall Recordings, after their collaboration on "Prutataaa". This connection to the Dutch DJ scene was pivotal for his growth as an artist. He became highly sought after for his remixes, working with major international artists such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry.
Rise to Global Fame
R3HAB has released two studio albums, "Trouble" (2017) and "The Wave" (2018). His debut album, "Trouble," garnered over 500 million streams globally. Several of his tracks from his second album, including "Ain't That Why," "Hold On Tight," and "Lullaby," entered the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic charts. His 2019 remix of "All Around the World (La La La)" by A Touch of Class became his most streamed song on Spotify. His work has accumulated over 8 billion streams to date.
