Outliers (Jenny Sturgeon & Boo Hewerdine)
Outliers is a musical collaboration between two of the UK's finest songwriters, Jenny Sturgeon and Boo Hewerdine. Sturgeon is a Shetland-based singer-songwriter known for her work with the band Salt House and her solo album 'The Living Mountain'. Hewerdine is an acclaimed songwriter and producer, known for his solo work since the 1980s and for writing the hit single "Patience of Angels" for Eddi Reader.
The duo came together to write songs remotely between their homes in Glasgow and Shetland during 2020 and 2021. This process of creating music at a distance led them to adopt the name Outliers. Their self-titled debut album was released in February 2024 on Hudson Records.
