oRSo is a US-based band that was formed in 1996. The group is led by Phil Spirito, who is also known for his work with bands like Rex, HiM (US), Loftus, and Califone. The band also features Brian Deck of Red Red Meat and Ben Massarella of Califone. The band's musical style is self-described as "carny rock, chamber folk or just orchestrated weirdness". Their songs often feature prominent banjo parts and incorporate experimental sounds from unconventional instruments like typewriters and toilets. oRSo releases their music through the Perishable Records label.

Orso (Swiss Band)
Orso, which means "bear" in Italian, is a heavy instrumental rock-metal band from Lausanne, Switzerland. The band is a quintet consisting of three guitars, a bass, and drums, and notably does not have a singer. The members include Raul (guitar), Margo (guitar), Sébastien (guitar), Blaise (bass), and Thomas (drums). Their music is described as slow, thick, and massive, with a touch of dark melancholia. The band draws inspiration from Swedish bands like Breach, Terra Tenebrosa, Cult of Luna, Entombed, and Neurosis.

Michel Orso
Michel Orso, born Orso Paolo Bertolucci on December 12, 1936, is a French singer-songwriter from Corsica. He began his musical journey singing in an orphanage choir and later performed at local events. In his early twenties, he moved to Paris to pursue a professional career, where he toured with notable artists like Adamo, Eddy Mitchell, and Enrico Macias.
His major commercial breakthrough came in 1966 with the self-penned single "Angélique," which became a massive hit in France, selling 300,000 copies in a few weeks. This song remains the cornerstone of his career. After a period of relative obscurity starting in the early 1970s, he made a comeback in 2006, touring with a show dedicated to Gilbert Bécaud and participating in the popular "Âge tendre, la tournée des idols" nostalgia tours.
