Nicholas Scott Ure, known professionally as Nicky Youre, is an American singer-songwriter born on June 4, 1999, in Anaheim, California. He is recognized for his indie pop music characterized by infectious melodies and relatable lyrics. Youre's interest in music began in high school, where he started creating songs with friends using GarageBand. Before pursuing music full-time, he was an avid water polo player and earned a degree in international business from the University of California, San Diego.

Career

Nicky Youre began making music seriously in 2017 and released his debut single, "Sex and Lemonade," on June 4, 2020, in collaboration with the producer Laiki. However, his breakthrough came with the release of his second single, "Sunroof," in December 2021. The song, featuring artist and producer Dazy, became a global hit, particularly gaining traction on TikTok. "Sunroof" reached the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 and charted in the top 30 in Australia. The success of "Sunroof" led to a record deal with Columbia Records in partnership with Thirty Knots Records.
