Biography

Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista, known professionally as Natti Natasha, is a Dominican singer and songwriter born on December 10, 1986, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. From a young age, she showed a strong interest in music. At the age of seven, her mother enrolled her in the School of Fine Arts in Santiago, where she took singing classes, which she considers one of the best periods of her life. Her early musical influences included artists like Bob Marley, Jerry Rivera, and Lauryn Hill.

Early Career

At 14, she began recording music for fun and later formed a group called D'Style with some friends, though it did not achieve significant success. At the age of 18, she moved to the Bronx, New York, to pursue her music career. It was there she met reggaeton artist Don Omar, who signed her to his record label, Orfanato Music Group. In 2012, she released her debut EP titled "All About Me". Her collaboration with Don Omar on the song "Dutty Love" in 2012 became a major hit, reaching number one on several charts and bringing her into the mainstream.

Rise to Fame and Music

Natti Natasha's breakthrough continued with several successful collaborations. In 2017, she released "Otra Cosa" with Daddy Yankee and the hit single "Criminal" with Ozuna. The music video for "Criminal" was the most-watched overall in 2017. In 2018, she collaborated with Becky G on the song "Sin Pijama," which became another global success, reaching over a billion views on YouTube within six months. Her debut studio album, "Iluminatti," was released on February 15, 2019, by Pina Records and Sony Music Latin. The album features collaborations with artists like Anitta and Kany García. She has since released other albums, including "Nattividad" (2021) and "Nasty Singles" (2023).

In 2021, Natti Natasha got engaged to her manager, Raphy Pina, the founder of Pina Records. On May 22, 2021, they welcomed their daughter, Vida Isabelle Pina Gutiérrez. For over seven years, she has been a vegan.
