Biography

Myles Smith is a British singer-songwriter from Luton, England, born on June 3, 1998. He is of British-Jamaican descent and grew up in a musically diverse household. Smith taught himself to play the guitar at the age of nine and later learned the piano. By the age of 12, he was performing at local open-mic nights, covering artists like Ed Sheeran, Marcus Mumford, and Chris Martin. He graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2019.

Career

Smith initially pursued a career in business after university but eventually decided to follow his passion for music. He began posting cover songs on TikTok in 2020, gaining significant attention with his rendition of The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather" in 2022. This online success led to a record deal with RCA Records.

In late 2023, he released the singles "My Home" and "Solo". His debut EP, "You Promised a Lifetime," was released in March 2024. The EP features a blend of folk, Americana, and pop. A major breakthrough came in May 2024 with the release of his single "Stargazing," which achieved international success, charting in the top ten in several countries. Following this, he released another EP titled "A Minute..." in November 2024.
