Biography

JACKBOYS is a hip-hop collective and the primary artist moniker for the roster of Travis Scott's record label, Cactus Jack Records. The group is led by Scott himself and features the label's signees. The collective's main members include Travis Scott, Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, and Chase B. Later additions to the Cactus Jack roster and, by extension, the JACKBOYS collective, include artists like Luxury Tax, SoFaygo, and Wallie the Sensei.

Formation and Debut

Travis Scott officially launched Cactus Jack Records in March 2017 with the goal of helping other artists and launching new names. The formation of JACKBOYS as a collective entity was a natural extension of the label's roster. The group made its formal debut with the release of a compilation album, titled "JACKBOYS," on December 27, 2019. The project was a showcase of the label's talent, featuring all of its members.

The "JACKBOYS" Album

The self-titled compilation album "JACKBOYS" is a concise project, consisting of seven tracks with a total runtime of just over 21 minutes. It featured guest appearances from prominent artists such as Rosalía, Lil Baby, Quavo, Offset, Young Thug, and Pop Smoke. The album was a commercial success, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart in January 2020, making it the first new album to top the chart in that decade. This marked Travis Scott's third album to reach the number one spot. Notable tracks from the album include a remix of Scott's "Highest in the Room," "Gang Gang," "Out West" featuring Young Thug, and "Gatti" with Pop Smoke.
