Internet Money
Biography
Internet Money is a prominent American record label and artist collective founded in 2015 by record producer Taz Taylor. Born Danny Lee Snodgrass Jr. on October 20, 1992, in Jacksonville, Florida, Taylor began producing music as a teenager to help support his mother who was diagnosed with cancer. He gained traction by selling his "type beats" online, which eventually led to a publishing deal and major placements.
Formation and Rise to Fame
Disillusioned with the music industry's treatment of producers, Taz Taylor formed Internet Money as a collective to share knowledge and help other producers navigate the business. The collective, which also functions as a record label and producer union, includes key members like Nick Mira and DT. They gained significant recognition for producing hit songs for major artists. Some of their early successes include XXXTENTACION's "Fuck Love" featuring Trippie Redd, Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams," and Lil Tecca's "Ransom". These tracks highlighted their signature sound, often characterized by melodic, trap-infused beats.
