Biography
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are a Belgian-Greek DJ and record producer duo, composed of brothers Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios. They are known for their energetic live performances and their significant impact on the electronic dance music (EDM) scene, particularly in the big room house genre.
Early Life and Career
Dimitri and Michael Thivaios were born in Belgium to Greek parents. They grew up in the Flemish town of Willebroek. The brothers began DJing at a young age, starting in their early teens. Dimitri started his career touring Europe and eventually settled in Ibiza in 2003, where he held residencies at major clubs like Privilege and Space. Like Mike later joined his brother in Ibiza.
Rise to Fame and Tomorrowland
The duo's breakthrough came after their remix of "Work That Body" caught the attention of Axwell, who commissioned them for a remix on his Axtone label. In 2010, they founded their own record label, Smash the House. They were also asked to create the anthem for the 2010 edition of the Tomorrowland festival, titled "Tomorrow (Give In to the Night)". This marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship with the festival, where they have been official resident DJs since 2010. They continued to create anthems for Tomorrowland for several consecutive years.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are primarily known for their big room and electro house sound. Some of their most successful tracks include "Mammoth", "Tremor" with Martin Garrix, and "The Hum" with Ummet Ozcan. "Tremor" became a global hit, charting in multiple countries. They have collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Ne-Yo on the track "Higher Place", which reached number one on the Billboard Dance Chart. The duo has also remixed tracks for artists like Lady Gaga and The Chainsmokers.
