Biography

Dayglow is the indie-pop project of Sloan Struble, a singer, songwriter, and producer from Aledo, Texas. Born on August 10, 1999, Struble began making music at the age of 10 using GarageBand. This early start led him to learn multiple instruments and produce his own music in his bedroom.

Musical Career

Struble initially released music on SoundCloud under the name 'Kindred' before adopting the Dayglow moniker. His career gained significant traction with the release of his debut album, "Fuzzybrain," on September 28, 2018. He created the album entirely by himself in his bedroom just before starting college at the University of Texas at Austin. The song "Can I Call You Tonight?" from this album became a viral hit, leading to widespread recognition. Following the album's success, an expanded version was released in 2019.

Harmony House

Dayglow's second studio album, "Harmony House," was released on May 21, 2021. This album was influenced by 80s pop and was created as Struble dealt with his newfound fame during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Singles from this album include "Close to You" and "Something".

People in Motion and Dayglow

His third album, "People in Motion," was released in October 2022 and continued to explore his upbeat and energetic sound, focusing on themes of movement and change. More recently, Dayglow announced a self-titled fourth album, "Dayglow," released on September 13, 2024. Struble described this album as a return to the core of his musical identity.

Musical Style

Dayglow's music is characterized by its effervescent, guitar-based indie-pop sound. He draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Phoenix, James Taylor, and The Strokes. Struble writes, performs, and produces all of his music, giving him complete creative control.
