Andrew Bazzi, known professionally as Bazzi, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer born on August 28, 1997, in Canton, Michigan. He is of Lebanese-American heritage and grew up in a musically-inclined environment, learning to play the guitar and oud from a young age. In 2014, during his senior year of high school, he moved to Los Angeles with his father to pursue a career in music, eventually graduating from Santa Monica High School in 2015.

Bazzi first gained an audience on the social media platform Vine, where he had amassed 1.5 million followers by 2015. In 2017, he released the song "Mine," which became a viral sensation in early 2018. The track's popularity was fueled by an internet meme and a Snapchat lens filter, leading to its climb on international charts and peaking at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
