Biography
Artemas Diamandis, known professionally as Artemas, is an English-Cypriot singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on September 23, 1999, in Oxfordshire, England, and is of Greek Cypriot descent from his father's side. Diamandis grew up in a village in Oxfordshire and developed an interest in music from a young age, starting with piano lessons at six. A significant turning point came at age 16 when he watched a documentary about Kurt Cobain, which inspired him to start writing his own songs. He is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who honed his production skills using online resources.
Career
Artemas began releasing music in late 2020 with his debut single "High 4 U". He moved to London to further pursue his music career. His early sound was described as moody pop. The release of his single "if u think i'm pretty" in late 2023 marked a significant point in his career, gaining viral traction and achieving Gold certification in the U.S. This success was followed by the even more popular single "i like the way you kiss me" in March 2024. The song became a global hit, topping charts in numerous countries including Germany, Austria, and Sweden, and reaching the top three in the UK. The success of these singles was largely propelled by their popularity on social media platforms, particularly TikTok. He is signed to the record label 10K Projects.
