History
Formation and Early Years (2003–2006)
The band was formed by Gaskarth and Barakat while they were in high school. They initially started by covering songs from pop-punk bands like Blink-182. Merrick and Dawson later joined to complete the lineup. In 2004, the band released their first EP, "The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End EP," through the local label Emerald Moon. This was followed by their debut studio album, "The Party Scene," in 2005. In 2006, All Time Low signed with Hopeless Records and released the "Put Up or Shut Up" EP, which consisted mostly of re-recorded material from their first album.
Breakthrough and Mainstream Success (2007–2011)
The band's second studio album, "So Wrong, It's Right," was released in 2007 and marked their breakthrough. The album featured the popular single "Dear Maria, Count Me In." Their third album, "Nothing Personal" (2009), was a major commercial success, debuting at number four on the Billboard 200 chart. The album included hit singles like "Weightless" and "Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)". Following this success, the band signed with major label Interscope Records in late 2009. In 2011, they released their fourth album, "Dirty Work," which debuted at number six on the Billboard 200.
Continued Success and Evolution (2012–Present)
All Time Low released their fifth album, "Don't Panic," in 2012, returning to Hopeless Records. Their sixth album, "Future Hearts" (2015), became their highest-charting album in the US, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 and also topping the UK Albums Chart. The band moved to Fueled by Ramen for their seventh album, "Last Young Renegade" (2017), which explored a more pop-oriented sound. They returned to their pop-punk roots with "Wake Up, Sunshine" in 2020. The album featured the single "Monsters," which became a significant hit. Their ninth studio album, "Tell Me I'm Alive," was released in 2023.
